Following the great success of the inaugural Sustainable Shipping Awards during MEPC 59, we are delighted to announce the next Sustainable Shipping Awards will take place in June 2010 in London. Shipping has come under increasing environmental scrutiny with current issues such as the sulphur emissions legislation, pressure to reduce CO2 emissions and the continued threat of oil spills. The Sustainable Shipping Awards celebrate the efforts that are being made to address and improve the environmental legacy of the shipping industry. Judged by a panel of key figures involved in shipping and the environment, this meaningful mark recognises environmental excellence in shipping.
