What about the CH4 emission of that vessel? It is known that an LNG fired engine shows a methan slip of 2 %. If there is no oxydizing catalyst installed the total GHG emission of that vessel isn't any better compared to an HFO fired vessel.

How do you know that an LNG fired engine has a methane slip of 2%? Is it a specific engine or a specific type of engines or LNF fired engines in general?

It is a problem of LNG fired engines in general as a result of an incomplete combustion. The problem with methane is that is has 25 times the ejfect on global warming compared to CO2.
